What We Believe

  • We believe that Jesus Christ instructed His followers (Christians) to love one another as He loved us. He gave up His life for us that we might live with Him for eternity. If we say that we are a Christian, then we need to let God’s love flow through us to others.
  • We believe in the Apostles’ Creed.
  • We believe that the Bible is God’s word written by men inspired by the Holy Spirit. It tells us about God, it tells us about ourselves, it tells us about our past history (how we got here), and it tells us about our future as a planet and as individuals.
  • We believe that we have all sinned by doing what God has told us not to do and by not doing what God has told us to do. In a sense, we have all slapped God in the face by telling God, “heck with you, God, I am going to do things my way and not your way.” But even so, God still loves us and sent His son, Jesus Christ, down to the earth to live among us and to die on a cruel cross in our place. He was buried and rose again. Jesus took the punishment that should have been poured out on all of us, so that we can be forgiven of our sins, receive God’s mercy, and live with Him forever.
